Redfin already offers a great way to buy and sell a home, combining our world-class website with excellent service from our top-notch agents. But there's still more to real estate that we've barely touched. Our customers also want the best lenders, home inspectors, stagers, movers, landscapers, etc. And they want the same effective blend of online and offline service.The Marketplaces Team is a startup within a startup. We are in the early stages of defining the business opportunities, designing the product/experience, and building out the infrastructure and tools to make it all happen.
You: You're a brilliant developer with 5+ years experince, but that's just the start. You care passionately about really great user experiences. You sweat the details. You make it beautiful. You have a natural drive to move fast, to deliver actual results. You're a leader but you're also a team player. You make the people around you productive and satisfied, and you love it.

The Tools: Our website is built with Java, Spring, JSP, Postgres, hibernate, HTML, CSS, JS, dojo, and various other tools/libraries. In production we run on Linux. On our desktops we mostly run Windows, but some opt for Linux or Mac. We use Eclipse, Maven, SVN, and Hudson.
