Cafepress is looking for bright software developers to do customer-facing webdevelopment for Cafepress.com. We are a lean and nimble group supporting an
aggressive growth business beginning its second decade of innovation and dominance
in the print-on-demand space. You will work on small teams to solve small, high-impact
business problems, as well as maintaining and upgrading an existing codebase that?s
online and active 24x7, 365 days a year.
If you are a great problem solver, a fast learner, a strong team player, and enjoy rapid
iterative development, and excited by writing software that hundreds of thousands of
people use the next day, then please review the requirements below and get in touch.
? At least two years of professional experience delivering software in a compiled,
Object Oriented language (C++, C# or VB.NET, Java)
? Professional experience contributing to a client-server or web application
? Strong data modeling and data management skills. Fluency in SQL, and deep
understanding of costs of various kinds of data fetching (from db, from disk, from
memory, etc)
? Demonstrated ability to solve problems independently
? Demonstrated ability to quickly digest and work within existing codebase
? Demonstrated mastery of both large and small-scale solutions
? Comfortable with front-end web programming (HTML/Javascript)
? Excellent verbal communication--succinct, direct, clear
? Excellent written communication--professional, well-organized, audience appropriate
? Steadfast
? Tenacious
? Flexible
? Directed and self-starting--be ready to prove it
? Open to constructive feedback, and able to provide feedback and support to peers,
managers, and junior developers
? Eager for personal and professional growth
? Bachelor?s Degree in an analytical subject preferred
