Job Description
Do you like problem solving? Rolling up your sleeves and digging into complex, multi-vendor, real world problems? Is a good day in the office that day when you spend 4 or 5 hours digging through Wireshark traces, and then spend the rest of the day working on a test automation harness or writing some automated tests? How about usability testing, performance and scalability testing, or figuring out an authentication problem? We?ve got this too!
We are looking for an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our Java-based terminal emulation team. The right candidate will work with developers, testers, tech supporters, tech writers, configuration management and product marketing to continue to produce industry leading emulation products. This position offers many opportunities to learn, to be creative, to work hard and have a lot of fun while making a difference on a very active product line at a company whose vision is to grow the next great software company! Intrigued?
To be sure, Test Engineers at Attachmate write-up defects, verify fixes, write and execute test plans, and proof read documentation, but more importantly we do what we need to, to produce the best-of-breed products given the complexities and schedules of the world we live in today. Our customers rely on us for rock solid access to their legacy systems and applications on hosts such as Unisys, OpenVMS, and IBM, using state?of-the-art security. Terminal emulation, file transfer, and printing are all part of the package, but don?t let that scare you? at Attachmate, we have expert domain knowledge that encompasses a wide variety of legacy and leading-edge technologies
