Software Developer (Mid-Senior Level)
Ellie Mae is a provider of enterprise on-demand solutions, including an online network, software and services for the residential mortgage industry. We are leading the mortgage industry into the future, developing and marketing software solutions that are transforming how mortgage lenders, investors, and settlement service providers work?and work together. We are expanding our development team and seeking to hire a new Software Developer to participate in design, development, and enhancement of new products and maintenance of our existing product, TQL. In this technically savvy role, dedication, experience, and an eye for detail are critical to the company's continued success.
Primary Responsibilities & Objectives:
Plan, design, develop and test software applications for software enhancements and new products.
Develop a range of products including SAAS solutions, integrations with 3rd party systems, Windows and web-based applications.
Analyzes, programs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
Using current programming languages and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
Design, Code and Implement complex applications, must be able to deliver high quality code at a fast pace and on schedule.
Communicate and interact with software, hardware, quality, marketing and other departments.
Move quickly between varied tasks in a small team.
Assist with the development and deployment of web, desktop and database applications.
Qualifications, Skills & Education:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related subject.
5 to 8 years of professional experience in commercial software or corporate application development
Knowledge and experience in object oriented design and development
Knowledge and experience in multi-tier, distributed architecture with a primary focus on the back-end and middle tier
Knowledge and experience in C#, ASP.NET, and other .NET technologies
Experience in consuming web services
Proficient in RDBMS using SQL Server 2008
Proficient in T-SQL
Knowledge utilizing TFS (Team Foundation Server) and continuous integration methodologies a plus
Demonstrated ability to deliver working solutions on a tight schedule
Experience working in some form of Agile methodology a plus
