Position Summary
Dell Boomi is an industry leader in on demand integration. We are recruiting for the position of Software Engineer for our Berwyn PA offices to provide software engineering for the company?s Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, Boomi AtomSphere. The person we are seeking must be a highly motivated professional team player that is willing to work in a fast-paced, technology driven company where each individual?s contribution directly impacts our success.
Essential Job Functions
Be a part of the full product development lifecycle of software applications offered by Boomi.
Apply the latest technologies to the company?s next generation product
Responsible for design, development and unit testing of the Boomi products including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported.
Support the QA team during System/Integration testing.
Work independently with a moderate level of guidance from team lead
Be up-to-date with industry-related technologies and standards
Qualifications
A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum of 6 years of commercial experience in software development using the Java programming language, including the use of some IDE with a solid understanding of object oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining a software product.
Technical understanding of SQL, JDBC, XML is required.
Technical understanding of Web Services technologies and SOA concepts including REST, SOAP and WSDL is required.
Experience supporting enterprise applications in customer environment is a must.
Exposure to mature development processes including use of source code control systems like Subversion is required.
Knowledge of other Java technologies such as Servlet, Hibernate is a plus.
Knowledge of AJAX technologies, especially GWT is a plus.
Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments is a plus.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Work experience with an enterprise software company is preferred.
