Job Code: SW-255 A Private company, Azimuth Systems Inc. (www.azimuthsystems.com) is a leading provider of wireless
broadband test equipment and channel emulators for Wi-Fi, WiMAX, LTE and other 4G technologies.
Azimuth?s products are used by the world?s foremost wireless semiconductor and system vendors as
well as by leading service providers to speed time-to-market and improve wireless service quality.
Azimuth?s standardized test solutions enable research, development, QA and marketing engineers to
test the performance, conformance and certification of broadband wireless devices and networks
supporting data, voice and video applications.
Currently we are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join our team at our office
in Acton, MA in the continued development of Azimuth?s test and measurement products. This includes
the enhancement and evolution of existing products, as well as the design and implementation of new
software and hardware systems.
Responsibilities:
? Design, implement and test software which provides the user interface to various
Azimuth Systems products including the ?ACE MX? Channel Emulator.
? Implement algorithms for PHY technologies in the wireless broadband communications
field including UMTS, CDMA, WIMAX and LTE components.
? Utilize various software programming languages (C#, C++ and Tcl) and employs stateof-the-art objected oriented design concepts to develop core components.
? Work with Microsoft Visual Studio environment using WinForms and WPF for
Graphical User Interface (GUI) for interactive control and a command-line based
interface for automated control.
? Code, implement and test software for real-time control, synchronization and
monitoring of network connected equipment using advanced TCP/IP, Ethernet and
other related protocols.
? Debug problems with the GUI control software using RF test equipment such as
Spectrum Analyzers, RF Network Analyzers, Vector Signal Analyzers and waveform
synthesizers.
Requirements:
? Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
? 1 year of industry experience with the development of digital hardware, analog hardware, and
embedded software with C, C++, and Tcl.
? Working knowledge of key PHY technologies in wireless cell phone industry.
? Must have strong communications skills, both written and oral.
? Up to 10% travel to customer sites world-wide is required. Azimuth Systems, Inc.
