We're seeking talented engineers to join our Infrastructure Services team. You'll be expected to build stable, robust systems to support a diverse and rapidly evolving domain. The Infrastructure Services team at Yammer builds services to accelerate and scale engineering. The team wields a wide range of knowledge on services that power the backend, frontend, and infrastructure-specific components. The team has worked on developer environments, scaling backend storage, full-fledge features within Rails, to standalone services that help accelerate engineering tasks. Infrastructure Engineers work throughout the entire stack, from highly concurrent backend components to the interfaces engineers interact with every day.

Responsibilities:
oHelp build and maintain Yammer?s infrastructure services.
oIdentify scaling bottlenecks and propose solutions.
oContribute to open-source.
oResearch, test, benchmark and evaluate new technology.
oSolve the types of mysteries which only occur at high scale.
Qualifications:
oAbility to adapt. An ideal candidate will have a knack for solving a broad range of problems using a wide array of technologies.
oHave experience building and operating scalable, distributed systems. We serve more than 4 million users (and growing?rapidly) with no patience for slow, flaky services when it comes to the tools they need to do their job.
oHave experience in developing REST-based web services. Sound API design and knowledge of HTTP principles is vital to providing robust, easily consumed services for the rest of the company.

Candidates must be able to meet customer security screening requirements as indicated for this role. Customer screening requirements may include additional items such as, but not limited to: specialized agency background checks (either national or local) and fingerprinting. All employees hired into roles supporting Cloud Offerings will also be required to pass Microsoft background checks prior to the start of employment and every two years thereafter.
