We?re looking for someone truly passionate about testing, automation and generally finding ways of breaking software. You will work closely with the development team, product managers, testers and other SDETs to ensure the highest quality solutions for the Capturx platform. We are looking only for candidates that are thrilled to work in test and excited to contribute to the quality of the products we build by developing the best possible tests. The best candidate will have a strong development background, but eschewed product development in favor of product bashing.
Assigned Duties:
? Design and implement automated tests and manual tests (whenever necessary) for existing products and
new releases.
? Create and organize test plans, test cases, test procedures, and related testing documentation
? Team up with program managers and developers to develop test plans and tests of Capturx products
? Maintain a hands-on role in running automated software tests
? Isolate, reproduce, and accurately report software defects and deficiencies, in a clear, concise manner
? Provide immediate feedback on feature design / functionality and acceptance tests to development and
Product Management
? Provide ongoing risk assessment of issues to the leadership team
? Ensure developers and Product Management are aware of test status and progress
? Use software test tools and frameworks to create, modify, and maintain test cases
? Maintain automated test tools and continuous integration systems
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
? BS degree in Computer Science, Math, or related disciplines
? Minimum of 5 years Quality Assurance/Testing experience
? Ability to work independently with complete understanding and wide application of technical principles,
theories, and concepts in the software testing field
? 2+ years of experience in SDET roles with heavy programming emphasis o 2+ years with C# o 1+ year
with XML o Basic knowledge of reflection o Familiarity with Java
? Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and Oses (e.g., .NET)
? Willingness to become familiar with new technologies as needed in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment
? Demonstrated ability to work well individually and within a team environment;
? Strong ad-hoc testing skills, but have the ability to appropriately prioritize areas for consideration
? Capacity, ability, motivation, and determination to operate independently, continuously looking for
opportunities to contribute to projects
? Problem solving skills to provide imaginative, thorough, practicable and consistent solutions
? Ability to effectively assess priorities and shift focus accordingly
? Ability to learn hands-on
? Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the goal of engaging, jumping in, and contributing
to projects in any way possible;
? Strong attention to detail; you must sweat the small stuff
? Drive to investigate new technologies and technical hurdles independently, and be able to clearly
communicate your findings and/or solutions
? Strong aptitude for black and white box testing
? Strong analytical, problem-diagnosis, problem-reproduction, and problem-solving abilities.
? Strong understanding and experience testing in a Windows environment
? U.S. citizenship or green card status is required for this position
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred:
? MCPD, MCAD, MCSD, MCAS, MCTS, MCM, MCA, or MOS Certification
? Experience testing components as part of larger enterprise solutions involving workflows and
data integration
? Testing of recognition-based technologies, such as voice or handwriting recognition
? Knowledge/familiarity with Team Foundation System (TFS)
? Previous experience working in both Agile and CMM/CMMI environments
? Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, Word)
? Experience with the armed forces of the United States
? Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
