We are looking for candidates who thrive in a high performance team using agile development methodologies and who demonstrate a strong desire to learn new technologies. Candidates should understand the basic software development processes, the connection to various engineering practices and the impact on all team members (aspects of software development).Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Work closely with account managers and/or product managers to understand the requirements and implement while collaborating with other engineering team members to ensure solutions match the architectural vision
Collaborate with creative professionals, and other members of the project team in requirements specifications, development, testing, and launch planning
Work closely with other engineering team members to produce technical design documentation and to ensure the code follows a good coding standard
Assist in the development and maintenance of a scalable, web-based platform for hosting a variety of websites for clients supporting online loyalty programs
Assist in the development and maintenance of custom digital couponing platform used for loading coupons directly to loyalty cards for redemption at point of sale
Requirements:
2-8 years of commercial server-side development experience using J2EE
In-depth understanding of standard Internet infrastructure, protocols and technologies
Working experience in JSP, Servlets, HTML, XML, XSLT, AJAX, JavaScript and Oracle Database
Experience in building Web Service applications (using Oriented Architecture (SOA), XML SOAP, REST
Familiar with revision control software such as CVS or SVN
Unix/Linux familiarity
BS Computer Science or equivalent
Working experience in Wicket framework is a plus.
