Duties and Responsibilities
Design and implement the core features and functionality of the ExtraHop platform.
Tune and optimize packet path modules to ensure performance requirements for some of the largest sites on the Internet.
Design and code modules to analyze, store, and visualize the massive amount of wire data that our system processes continuously and in real time.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or information technology
3+ years of professional software-development experience in a Unix-based environment
Knowledge of building scalable and high-performance userland systems
Strong problem-solving ability
Understanding of TCP/IP networking
Familiarity with embedded systems or other systems-level development
Solid understanding of the OSI model and excellent working knowledge of the key protocols from Layer 2 through Layer 7 including ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, and HTTP
