Responsibilities:Lead software development projects from idea to implementation.
Architect solutions to support growing business needs while thoroughly considering the system-wide impact.
Actively participate in complete SDLC and ensure best practices are followed at every stage.
Manage the next generation product lines from a development standpoint.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's in Computer Science.
Financial/Insurance industry experience preferred.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytic skills and ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
Some previous software application development leadership experience required.
6 or more years of experience managing software developers in a fast paced, dynamic environment
10 or more years of experience in designing and developing web-based software solutions using Microsoft technologies.
7 or more years of hands-on experience in .Net technologies, including 3.5 and 4.0 versions, ASP.Net, C#, WCF, Web Services, Visual Studio 2008/2010 and TFS.
Proven experience in designing and building high volume data driven websites
Hands-on knowledge in frameworks and design patterns, such as Gang of Four, MVC, MVVM and SOA.
Must be technically credible to lead teams of world-class software engineers and be able to make the right design decisions and technology choices
Proficiency in architectural design utilities like Visio, ERDs and UML.
Must be a hands on manager, this is a small company. Ideal candidate will really roll up his/her sleeves!
