Opportunity Code: 081010SEASenSage is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer who will be responsible for the prototyping, implementing and testing of Analytics Tools & Reports. This individual will be responsible for the next generation of our Analytics offerings, covering such areas as compliance, security and system administration. This position requires someone skilled in understanding business requirements and translating them into the tools to expand SenSage Analytics.
Job Description
The Software Engineers responsibilities will include:
Understand and translate requirements documents into working SQL code and reliable, robust SenSage Reports.
Understand and translate requirements documents into tools to assist the field in deployment and management of the SenSage Analytics offering.
Develop libraries and lookup tables for various sources and problem domains.
Assist Professional Services, Support and Sales with the installation, configuration and use of the Analytics Reports.
Act as SenSages technical representative to customer
Qualifications
Required Technology Skills
3+ years practical experience supporting enterprise reporting & analysis function
3+ years of development in Java
Strong understanding of Perl or Python
SQL, data management, reporting, data analysis experience
Strong ability to understand business requirements for reporting and analyzes, and translate to technical solutions.
Strong experience with report delivery (building, testing, scheduling, monitoring, one-off vs. recurring, etc.)
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Required Personal Skills
Effective and experienced in working with a cross functional team.
Ability to work independently and in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Highly motivated and resourceful
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible and open to constructive criticism
Organized, methodical, and detail oriented
Proficient at personal time management and prioritization
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
Desired Additional Skills
Experience with large data sets and large data problems
Experience with Crystal Reports or another reporting package
Understanding of network security management and/or log data management
Experience with some or all of the Spring Framework
Experience with popular RIA technologies (AJAX, Flex, Prototype, JQuery)
Experience working on content management systems.
