Software Engineer Liaison Technologies

Liaison is looking to immediately fill a full-time position for a Software Engineer to enhance existing Java/J2EE application components and to build new ones, and to collaborate with other team members on the design and development of new applications focused on health care IT applications. This position will assist with design, documentation and implementation of application handling healthcare data. This position will be part of the delivery team on a fast track project. This position will involve integrating data from variety of disparate sources particularly in the healthcare setting.Responsibilities
Actively participate in story workshops to gather requirements, identify technical opportunities and ultimately, innovate new or enhance existing product capabilities
Design and develop product capabilities based on stories, industry specification, or refactoring of existing capabilities
Incorporate quality into all aspects of the product development lifecycle. This includes considerations for automated unit test coverage and continuous integration
Play a positive role in maintaining Liaisons? high customer satisfaction rating. This involves timely resolution of customer service requests and assisting with customer implementations
Pro-actively identify ways to improve the products and our processes, and help make them the best
Although there will be some supervision with this position, you will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work independently to overcome even the most complex challenges
Required Technical Skills
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
Proficient in Java development (prior work/project experience a plus)
Experience working in Unix and Linux environments
Experience and Proficient in working with webServices
Desired Technical Skills
Hands on experience using HL7 V2/V3 messaging, RIM, CCD, or HITSP
Hands on experience with disparate systems within healthcare domain such as Clover Leaf, Cerner, EDC, NHIN DIRECT, NHIN Connect
Java EE: EJBs, Servlets, JSPs, JMS, Web Services, JSON webservices, JAXB, Persistence frameworks, JFC, JBoss Seam
Development tools: Eclipse, Ant, source control tools such as CVS or Subversion
J2EE app servers (JBoss preferred)
Servlet containers (Tomcat preferred)
SQL, Database Management, Object Oriented Databases
Shell scripting and/or Perl experience
XML, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
User Interface Design and Development, AJAX
Experience with threaded programming
Required Soft Skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Good team player
Willing to learn and ability to pick up new concepts quickly
