The Technologies:
Java, sure. But we will kick it up with Groovy/Grails, Python/Django, when it makes sense.
Sure, we?ve got some MSSQL and MySQL, but we?re going to RDS, Mongo, whenever it makes sense.
Redis to keep things moving.
HornetQ is key here but we?re going to cloud providers too.
REST and SOAP, webservices are how people get data from us. We build off of them too, so we have to make them good.
New technologies: interested in map-reduce? Cloud services?

You:
Know how applications need to be structured.
Think about designs and patterns in your sleep.
BS in CS or Engineering
You have some OO kung-fu and are not afraid to use it.
Strong analytical mind
