We?re seeking an energetic and passionate Software Engineer to join the NaviNet Development Team. You will be responsible for the design and development of NaviNet software components that reside within our Service Federation. Our engineers are expected to be self-starters who can operate well under a variety of different situations and types of projects, ranging from a team of one to a team of many. Responsibilities and requirements of the position are given below.
Design and develop portal and services on .NET platform within Service Orientation Architecture (SOA)-based environment using SQL Server as backend data store
Utilize ASP.NET MVC, C#, Visual Basic, and SQL Server to perform enterprise server development in a distributed computing environment
Work within a Kanban/Lean Software Development framework to deliver business requirements from analysis and design through to deployment
Work with various industry standard communication protocols, including web services, WebSphere MQ Series, MSMQ, and FTP
Adhere to internal best practices with respect to coding standards, unit test coverage, automation, and continuous integration

BS or MS in Computer Science or Degree in a similar field
3+ years of experience in server product development and web client programming
Working experience in C#/VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, and XML/XSLT
Experience using design patterns and refactoring
Extensive programming experience with at least one object oriented language (.NET, Java, C++)
Fundamental understanding of communication protocols such as Web Services, COM+, MQ Series, and MSMQ
