Axeda is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our high caliber R&D team. In this role you will be a critical player on the Developer Experience team which is focused on designing and implementing the next generation of tools and platform APIs enabling developers to create innovative M2M solutions on our Platform. Empowering the developer means you?ll help to augment our existing toolset as well as be part of designing new tools targeted at making it even easier to develop elegant and sustainable solutions on the Axeda platform. The position will require you to think like a developer using our platform and your voice will have direct impact on helping make our Platform better.Responsibilities/Duties:
Develop and implement the next generation of tools and platform APIs
Design new software tools targeted at making it even easier to develop elegant and sustainable solutions on the Axeda platform
Technical/Professional Knowledge/Skills:
Technical:
Strong fundamental programming knowledge
Strong Java skills, experience with other language such as Groovy/C#/ruby is a plus
Experience with software development life cycle from authoring code to testing to continuous integration
Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL
Experience designing and consuming various frameworks such as:
Hibernate
Maven
Apache CXF / Axis
Log4J
RESTful / SOAP WebServices
Social:

Strong communication skills

Required Education & Experience:
BS Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
3+ years in an active software development role
