Software Engineer, Developer Tools Quantcast
Quantcast is looking for a software engineer to focus on building tools that make the development process more awesome, more productive and that generate fewer defects. You will be able to start working in a (mostly) green field to work toward our vision of continuous integration and delivery of high quality software. Some possible projects are: building out our automated integration test framework, web performance testing, and building some standard automated test tools for our map/reduce system.
The ideal candidate loves hacking things together that make people?s lives easier, and is passionate about building high quality software.
Development of automated testing framework to allow easier development of integration tests
Build and extend our tooling to run tests faster and more reliably
Help improve our processes to ensure higher quality products (this could include everything from code review tools to alerting systems).
Bachelors in CS, EE, Mathematics, etc. or equivalent experience
2-4 years in software engineering or devops
Familiar with Java build, test or performance analysis tools (Jenkins, ant, selenium, jmeter, etc)
Familiar with -nix shells (bash or zsh preferred) Familiar with HTTP protocol and web-based applications
Good knowledge of SQL (some knowledge of modern big data systems preferred)
Proficient in some object oriented, strongly typed programming language ? C++, C#, Java, etc. (but preferably java)
