Summary

As a member of the storage architecture team you will be working on the distributed file system client. As part of your job you will be working with the architect to design and develop file system coherence algorithms. You will also be working on interactions with the metadata manager and various other file system components including CIFS and NFS. The position will also expose you to Object Storage and iSCSI.

Responsibilities

Design and Develop new functionality.
Develop unit and system tests and execute them prior to handing off code to the QA team
Participate in the end-to-end analysis of the system?s performance.
Participate in file system performance tuning.
Resolve bugs found by QA and in the field.
Work with Service team to make sure that new features can be easily maintained and serviced.
Participate in the training of QA and the service teams on new features that have been developed by the team.
Work on high priority/critical issues found at customer sites.


Experience/Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years industry experience developing storage-related software products.
Extensive knowledge of C/C++, kernel level development, multi-threading / parallel programming, distributed systems, and fault-tolerance techniques.
Knowledge of network file systems protocols (NFS, CIFS, AFS) preferred.
Knowledge of SAN & NAS storage paradigms a plus.
Ability to work in teams.
