Summary
As a member of the storage development team you will be working on various components of the Panasas distributed file system. You will design and develop features to improve file system reliability in the face of failures, improve file system scalability, and well as solve difficult problems to enhance our cutting-edge file system for the next generation. Responsibilities
Design and Develop new functionality.
Develop unit and system tests and execute them prior to handing off code to the QA team
Participate in the end-to-end system analysis.
Bug diagnosis and resolution.
Work with Service team to make sure that these new features can be easily maintained and serviced.
Participate in the training of QA and the service teams on new features that have been developed by the team.
Work indirectly with customers to resolve high priority or critical issues found at customer sites.
Experience/Qualifications
3-7 years industry experience in a relevant field.
Extensive knowledge of C/C++ and multi-threading techniques.
Experience developing in a Linux or FreeBSD environment
Experience developing/designing large software systems.
Experience with distributed systems and parallelism.
Ability to work in teams.
Plusses
Knowledge of network file systems protocols (NFS, CIFS) preferred.
Knowledge of SAN & NAS storage paradigms.
Knowledge of Object Storage
Requirements:
BS, or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
