POSITION: Entry Level Software Engineer

LOCATION: East Greenwich, RI
SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly motivated and versatile individual who is a self-starter, who works well in small dynamic groups, and who is not afraid to contribute his or her ideas and opinions as a software engineer on our product development team. We desire someone who eagerly accepts new challenges, can adapt well to change, and is willing to learn.

This position focuses heavily on new web technologies including .net, HTML, SQL, XML. XAML, and JavaScript. The applicant will initially develop a browser based graphical user interface used to access our Wholesale Distribution Enterprise applications. This role will involve the integration of the existing Enterprise applications written using several different technologies over a period of years, so a broad range of skill-sets and flexibility will be required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop the browser based graphical user interface to access the company's Wholesale Distribution application.
• Work with n-tier web technologies including .net, HTML, XML, JavaScript, Silverlight, Java, IIS and Apache.
• Extend and enhance the development environment that is used to build and generate business applications.
• Develop core ERP applications.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science.
• Some computer work experience or internship in a computer related field is ideal.

Required Skills:

• Self Starter with knowledge multiple different technologies including .net and/or Java .
• Visual Graphical Design skills including HTML and other Web Design tools like MS Silverlight or Adobe Flash.
• Team oriented and should be able to effectively provide input into the functionality of the product and different technical approaches.
• Apply excellent technical skills along with continuous refinement in advanced programming techniques to increase speed of work while not compromising quality.

• .net, C#, Java, SQL.
• Graphical User Interface design
• XML, Web Services.
