Position Statement:
Redbrick Health is looking for a software engineer to add to our data operations team. This team has multiple responsibilities including customer implementations, customer renewals, data integrations, data analysis, business systems integration, and operational reporting.
This team is involved with nearly every aspect of our business operations. As our business continues to grow we must enhance or capabilities. You will be helping drive improvements to RBH operations capabilities.
This position requires you to be driven and results focused. This is an opportunity to help build and expand the systems that will drive the growth of a company aiming to shape the future of health care. There is a lot of good work to do and we are looking for a person who loves to make constant forward progress.
We are looking for a software engineer who is passionate about data and would like to bring their experience and expertise to our data operations department, working with us to develop and improve our data integration practices.
You will be a software engineer working to improve the operational activities of a growing organization working to improve peoples health.
Essential Job Functions:
Work with small teams of software and ETL developers, as well as business analysts and solution architects to develop and implement solutions involving data integration, analysis and reporting
Work with technical operations organization to implement and support software based solutions
Work with existing data integration, analysis and reporting tools to improve the quality of solutions used by RBH functional departments
Work with peers to assess, recommend and implement improvements to the data operations practices and procedures
Be a kick-butt contributor to our data operations organization
Qualifications & Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Required:
5+ years experience as a software developer
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent experience
Experience working in SaaS organizations
Experience working with one or more of the following - ETL, Enterprise Reporting, Pentaho, MySql, SQL Server Reporting Services
Experience with BI technologies
Strong understanding and experience with the entire SDLC
Demonstrated understanding of data quality principles and practices
Experience working with Agile practices
Demonstrate understanding of data integrity principles and practices
Preference given to candidates with health care experience
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
Creative thinker who can quickly develop innovative ideas across a wide variety of business functions
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Outstanding relationship building skills with the ability to create mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external clients is critical.
Must have good written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate service concepts to a variety of audiences.
Well organized with a high attention to detail
Verifiably successful experience with modern technologies, ability to learn and generally a good person
Job Specifications:
Job requires working on a personal computer for extended periods of time.
Job requires frequent communication with remote customers and peers via email, Collaboration Tools, IM and phone
Job may require some travel
