Software Engineer - Front End Technorati
We are looking for a talented, hands-on software engineer who can thrive in a fun, fast-paced, casual and challenging environment. You will build web applications for our users, partners, and team. Those applications can range from business-critical internal tools to the core architecture of our websites and ad server, with opportunities to work with a variety of languages and technologies.Responsibilities
Write front-end code in JSP, PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
Implement new features and optimize existing ones from controller-level to UI
Work closely with back-end engineers to design, develop and maintain server side and client side Java based applications
Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems. Write quality code that meets company?s business requirements.
Pro-actively look for ways to make our sites and applications better. Provide technical direction and evaluation of different technologies.
Requirements
Bachelors/Masters in CS or related field, or equivalent work experience. Understanding of CS concepts such as: common data structures and algorithms, profiling/optimization.
3-5 years of work experience with Java/J2EE technologies, web frameworks such as Spring MVC, JSP, Struts, REST, Quartz.
Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, asset loading / caching)
Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
Experience with RDBMS technologies (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
Desired
NoSQL (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB)
Ad serving, Media technology.
Linux scripting (bash, awk, sed)
Data-informed product development: analytics, A/B testing, etc.
