Software Engineer - Frontend SecondMarket

We are leveraging the latest and most exciting technologies and we need the best and brightest people to help us create the most advanced financial systems in the world. In this position you will be responsible for architecting, building & maintaining a robust, scalable n-tier platform.

Responsibilities include:

- Architect & build a multi tier, asynchronous high volume consumer facing web product (primarily responsible for back end Rest/JSON service layers and message based system)
- Write server side code to build out the application to support high volume production applications
- Design both traditional relational database schemas & NoSQL document based schemas
- Diagnose & resolve performance and scalability issues
- Lead, motivate and mentor small teams
- Perform technology and product assessments, detailed evaluations, build prototypes and final selections
- Assist in the preparation of IT vision and strategy


Requirements

- Experience working with Java, Spring, Spring MVC, SQL, Hibernate or MyBatis technologies
- Experience with technologies such as Memcached, Lucene/Solr, Mongo, OAuth, CAS
- Experience implementing and managing Privacy and Security Policies
- Experience of building systems to support Web 2.0 client applications
- Experience building robust message based solutions
- Extensive knowledge of message based routing patterns
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in an agile and product focused organization
- Proven track record building large software products
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to communicate to both technical and non technical audiences
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- History of working as a technical lead
