Software Engineer/Game Programmer Simulation Systems, Inc.
Simulation Systems is a pre-revenue company operating at the nexus of two rapidly growing fields: health care simulation and virtual reality. The Company is developing a virtual reality simulator, combining computer hardware and software, for teaching microsurgical skills.
What we need:
We're seeking a software engineer/game programmer to join our team. The incumbent's primary responsibility will be to plan, write, implement, and test the simulator software.
This is a key hire that will have significant responsibility for the company's overall trajectory. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience managing software development projects and has also worked collaboratively with hardware developers.
To succeed in this position, you should have rock star coding skills (see below) combined with humility, independence, the ability to laugh at yourself, and a strong bias for action. You should enjoy math and physics, as you'll be spending a lot of time with both.

Compensation package commensurate with experience and capability.
- Advanced C++11 and OpenGL 4.x proficiency
- UNIX development background
- Familiarity with software APIs including OpenGL Mathematics (GLM), Boost.Asio, HIDAPI, GLFW, and FTGL
- Calculus, ordinary differential equations, and matrix linear algebra
- Knowledge of tissue mechanics and elasticity is a plus
