Job Description: Senseonics has an opening for a Software Engineer to assist in the development of an implantable continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system. We are seeking an individual with proven software development skills to work on this advanced consumer medical device.
Responsibilities:
Develop and test software for the CGM system, including embedded firmware, PC software, smartphone apps, and/or web-based applications.
Analyze, evaluate, define and plan innovative solutions to complex technical problems relevant to our end users and clinicians.
Develop and apply expert knowledge in multiple technical specialties related to software development, embedded systems development, and/or digital electronics design.
Maintain technical skills and knowledge at a high professional level.
Requirements:
Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Biomedical) or Physics degree at Bachelor?s level or above. For a candidate with a Bachelor?s degree, a minimum of 1 year of R&D or product development experience is required. For a candidate with a Master?s degree, no minimum work experience is required.
Experience in developing and testing software, and proficiency in software development techniques.
Experience in one or more of the following areas: embedded hardware and software, digital signal processing, digital circuit design, PC application development in C, C#, and/or .NET, iOS app development, Android app development.
Acceptable written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Understanding of automated software testing systems
Experience programming TI MSP430 and/or Microchip PIC microcontrollers
Hands-on laboratory experience
Product development experience in the medical device field
