Software Engineer Intern [Summer 2013] Deepfield Networks

Software engineer interns will work closely with DeepField engineers to envision, design, develop, and iterate on new product features and enhancements. Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of different areas of the product, including the distributed platform, scalability, database engineering, traffic analysis, info visualization, and more.Interns will build valuable portfolio work by iterating on ideas of their own, implementing them into products that many of the largest network operators in the world use every day to gain actionable intelligence and optimize their business.
Basic experience required
Two years of a computer science or similar degree; one year for graduate students
Minimally some experience with Python and JavaScript; experience with C is a plus
Solid understanding of Linux and development in a Linux environment; familiarity with virtual machines a plus
Desire to work in the exciting and dynamic environment of a startup entering its growth phase
What you'll be doing
Developing and enhancing features in the Cloud Intelligence and Cloud Genome products
Making our distributed platform even more scalable and easier to manage
Improving the quality and scope of our Cloud Genome datasets by mining new and interesting sources of data
Gaining valuable business experience working with sales engineers to help close deals
