The Ask Partner Network (APN) is looking for a Software Engineer for a new business initiative which will be launching soon. The product will combine a client / server application framework to intelligently deliver software to millions of customers daily. Required:
2+ years of recent Object-Oriented programming experience using Java in a professional environment.
Java web application development utilizing Spring frameworks.
1+ year of recent JavaScript experience
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming design patterns and methodologies.
Familiarity with open source project development including Apache, Tomcat and Spring, etc.
Experience with MySQL or equivalent RDBMS database.
Experience with web analytics & reporting tools, i.e. Google Analytics, Omniture, Webtrends, etc.
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing team environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong business writing and verbal communication skills.
Must be personable and professional. Must be a team-player.
Bachelor's degree (CS, EE or Math preferred) or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities:
Design: Works within a team to design the APN PIP server architecture that is efficient, scalable, maintainable, and accurately meet the needs of the business.
Development: Works within a team to develop, refactor, and continuously improve various APN web applications
services. Meets deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Communications: Facilitates communication with members of both technical and business teams through
appropriate documentation and training.
Project Assessment: Quickly and accurately analyzes medium-scale project requests for feasibility, risk,
and level of effort.
Deployment: Assists in the release of APN's projects in the production environment.
Maintenance: Participate in the resolution of challenging and demanding problems within the production
environment.
Customer Service: Assists with customer inquiries and resolution of problems.
Innovation: Actively contributes to lessons-learned exercises for completed projects
