Software Engineer BATS Trading

ResponsibilitiesThe Software Engineer?s role is to design, develop, deploy and support new system functionality, as well as
enhance, support and troubleshoot existing applications. This includes configuring, coding, developing, testing and
documenting software specifications throughout the project lifecycle using C++. This role must apply principles and
techniques of computer science, engineering, mathematical analysis and problem solving. The Software Engineer
will also serve as an escalation point for operation problems and handle support calls during high-call periods.
Requirements
? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred.
? At least three years experience developing Linux and Windows real-time applications required.
? Strong experience in object-oriented design and programming, including full software development lifecycle.
? Experience with STL relational database programming and SQL is highly desirable.
? Familiarity with multiple hardware/software development environments, languages and technologies,
including Linux and MS Windows variants.
? Experience developing industrial-strength client/server applications and experience in the financial markets is
a plus.
? Priority will be given to resumes that arrive with information detailing real-time and network development in C++.
