At Calxeda, you will utilize your established technical expertise to deliver system solutions to the hyper scale data center market with throughput-performance/watt that has never before been possible. The Calxeda team is comprised of technical innovators and leaders in the areas of SOC design, system architecture and software development.
Responsibilities:
-- Architect, specify and implement Linux Kernel and Device Driver features
-- Develop C/C++ software in a Linux environment
-- Integrate software into community Linux distributions
-- Monitor and evaluate development activities in Linux community and key technology partners
-- Implement and execute feature validation suite
-- Assist in bring-up and test activities required for platform test and integration
-- Clearly document all design work and ensure that customer documentation is complete and accurate
-- Provide guidance to hardware engineering team for opportunities related to features and optimizations
Qualifications
-- Undergraduate degree in Comp Science or Electrical Engineering required, graduate degree preferred, plus 7+ years of hands-on experience with design and development of Linux kernel and device drivers
-- 5+ years of Linux development with expert level knowledge of Linux internals and Server Systems
-- Detailed knowledge of Linux and Systems level standards, interfaces and implementations
-- Advanced knowledge of and experience with ARM core architecture
-- Excellent C/C++/Java skills
-- Detailed knowledge of hardware systems design, hardware interfaces and ability to collaborate with hardware engineering team.

-- Strong communication and documentation skills
