Must haves:
? 5+ years of software development experience in a product development environment
? Excellent coding experience in C
? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field
? Working knowledge of RAID, file systems, and Linux system calls
? Ability to learn quickly
? Comfortable with a startup environment
? Ability to translate business goals into own work assignments
? Ability to succeed with little management direction
? Strong oral and written communication skills
? Use best practices to document and write quality software. Focus on testing is extremely important
? Encourages and accepts personal feedback
? Can use judgment to solve problems where protocol might not exist
Nice to haves:
? Experience developing system software for disk-based storage systems
? Familiarity with core technologies of modern storage subsystems such as SAN, NAS, snapshots, replication, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAS, SATA
? bash and scripting languages
? Familiarity with open-source development tools
? Desire to collaborate with off-shore development partners
? Commitment to Test-driven Development
? Experience working in an Agile development environment
? Desire to debate and explore new technologies
Responsibilities:
? Work with a team of storage industry experts to design and develop the system software for our hybrid storage platform
? Build scalable APIs and test harnesses for our storage acceleration and protection technology
? Design and implement new features in user-space (in C, bash, and other languages)
? Support products through various stages of development
? Write test plans to verify the product meets the requirements. Design and develop comprehensive regression tests
