Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with project management, development and QA across the globe to understand project requirements and coordinate timing, dependencies, and issues
Create a self-serve portal for Market Force development/QA that allows them to build and deploy their code to all environments
Define, implement, and manage release policies, procedures, and tools
Manage the release process across environments
Coordinate with software developers and database administrators to ensure modified code meets requirements for release to production and to maintain release history
Introduce process changes as appropriate to help facilitate the delivery of quality products
Create and communicate release documentation
Configure, maintain, and administer Subversion (VisualSVN) version control server in a Windows environment
Configure, maintain and administer Jenkins/Hudson servers in both a Windows and Linux environments
In essence, we need someone who loves to get their hands dirty and be the backbone upon which we deliver our projects.
Education/Experience:
4 - 5 years in software development
Demonstrated knowledge of Windows and Linux OS
Demonstrated knowledge of IIS and/or Tomcat/Apache
Demonstrated knowledge of building and deploying MS Visual Studio applications.
Demonstrated knowledge of building and deploying Java applications in a Linux environment
Demonstrated knowledge of working in a MS SQL environment including experience with stored procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of using Apache ANT to build and deploy software applications.
Ability to meet deadlines and schedules and be accountable for defined tasks
Ability to document results of releases in a detailed and organized manner.
Ability to multitask in a fast, dynamic environment and maintain a professional attitude with team members
Strong interpersonal, communication skills & presentation skills, written and verbal
Able to work well independently
Highly motivated and ability to work independently
Ability to take ownership of problems and follow through to resolution
