Overview:The Software Engineer at Everyday Health, Inc in New York, New York will be responsible for communicating complex concepts in a concise manner to technical and non-technical staff; leading technical project development initiatives; proposing efficient technical solutions; developing internet and distributed applications using Microsoft .Net technologies; communicating status effectively with IT management; assisting the development manager with task management and estimation; programming using C# programming languages; developing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (2005 & 2008); programming through the use of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and JSON; building web services using the Microsoft WCF framework; using the Microsoft MVC Framework; working with LINQ (LINQ-to-Objects, LINQ-to-SQL, etc.); becoming a subject matter expert on the projects worked on, allowing other IT members to look to them as a knowledgeable member of the team. Work schedule is Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week; 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a directly related field, plus four years of experience developing internet and distributed applications using Microsoft .Net technologies. The four years of experience must include the following: (1) four years of experience with C# programming languages; (2) four years of experience developing database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (2005 & 2008); (3) three years of experience in programming through the use of JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX and JSON; (4) experience in building web services using the Microsoft WCF framework; (5) experience using the Microsoft MVC Framework; and (6) experience using LINQ (LINQ-to-Objects, LINQ-to-SQL, etc.).
