Reports to - VP EngineeringThe Middleware Software Engineer will be a key member of our development team and will be responsible for developing sophisticated middleware software for our state-of-the-art storage virtualization platform.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement middleware software modules (in Python, C/C++) to tie together the core I/O stack running under a Linux kernel with a web-based user interface and other API?s
- Work with QA team to develop comprehensive regression tests
- Responsible for enhancements and bug fixes to the code
Qualifications
BS degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering (with software emphasis).
A minimum of 3-5 years? experience in middleware development required.
Minimal travel required.
Familiarity with core technologies of modern storage subsystems such as SAN, NAS, RAID, Snapshot, Replication, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, SAS, SATA,etc. and:
Ability to work in a fast-paced start up environment
Contribute quickly with a minimum of on-going supervision
Comfortable working in a loosely structured, high-performing team environment
Willing to contribute outside of the formal job description
Development process-oriented
Proficient in Python, C/C++ programming in a Linux development environment
Familiarity with the Agile development process is a plus
