SOFTWARE ENGINEER – MOBILE PLATFORMS ZipList, Inc.

ZipList is a provider of a consumer-facing web application suite that helps everyday grocery shoppers de-hassle an otherwise ongoing, tedious process. ZipList features universal, shareable grocery lists, deep web recipe search, a universal recipe box and web recipe clipper, and much more. ZipList is accessible via web browser, text messages, email, instant messaging, via two iPhone apps (ZipList's or Martha Stewart's app) or via mobile web browsers.

Our primary investors include Softbank Capital (the original investor in Yahoo) and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.

We are looking for self-starting, entrepreneurial-minded software engineers to work on meaningful components of our offering. We work in a highly Agile, scrum-based development environment and we release early and often. We are diametrically opposed to the classical waterfall development process.

Requirements:
A minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering or similar degree, and two years of professional software development experience.
A minimum of one year of Mobile Development experience (modern smartphone platforms a plus, iPhone, Android).
Minimum two years experience with Java and/or Objective-C and their respective User Interface layers.
Minimum two years experience with JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
Experience in developing mobile applications on multiple MVC architectures.
Experience with Client Application Development and Deployment Processes, a plus.
Experience with AJAX, JSON, and REST a plus.
Familiarity with Ruby, Ruby on Rails (or experience with other dynamic languages like PHP or Python)
