Of course, the engineering team still has the same issue any company experiences: getting consensus on where to go to lunch and dodging oncoming Nerf warfare.
Responsibilities:
Build and iterate on Zipcar?s next generation web and mobile platforms
Collaborate closely with our product and design teams to enhance the reservation experience
Design, develop, and optimize improvements to our web-based systems and internal tools
Qualifications:
Passion for developing software with the best user experience in mind
Command of your favorite server side language (Ruby/PHP/Python/etc.)
Ideally 3 to 5 years? experience in web-based software development
Experience with development, debugging, and performance tuning of web-based, database-backed systems
Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills
Comfortable with Agile techniques
You have worked in the mobile space recently (native app/HTML5)
Ruby on Rails experience is a plus
