Known as the Money Team within WhitePages, the Monetization Products Team is for the engineer who loves turning an idea into shipping code that won't crumble when faced against the traffic of a Comscore Top 50 site. Our team is responsible for rapidly developing solutions for our advertising and distribution partners as well as our internal customers. As a member of our fast paced, innovative team, you will tackle many projects ranging from simple front end Javascript/CSS updates to creating new products that are expected to bring in millions of dollars over their lifetime. You should also be equally comfortable using Firebug to explore a MVC system built in Javascript as you are at profiling a Ruby application to find a memory leak.

Job Requirements :
Responsibilities
Write high-performance, maintainable code that is easy to read, well-documented, and compliant with best-practice style conventions.
Write code containing minimal bugs, and assist in QA as needed.
Communicate closely and effectively with engineering management, leads, and peers to gather and understand requirements, share project status and deal with unexpected issues.
Requirements
Passion for building intuitive, delightful user experiences
Ability to write clean code that works, is readable, maintainable and follows best practices and coding standards on schedule
Fluency in one or more languages such as Ruby, Perl, Java, Python, C/C++/C
Ability to contribute to the architectural design of complex systems
Understanding of OO design, languages, algorithms, and data structures
Aptitude to quickly learn new languages and technologies as necessary
Experience working with a web development framework (Django, Rails, .NET, Catalyst, JSP, etc)
Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Knowledge in a variety of relevant areas: search engine design, people search, distributed computing, database optimization, high volume, caching, messaging, VOIP, social networking, mobile applications, web development, etc. preferred
Experience working in an Open Source internet platforms preferred
Experience with database development preferred
BS degree in a Computer Science or equivalent experience
