Software Engineer Cast Iron Systems

Job Description-

The Cast Iron Engineering team is responsible for designing and delivering the breadth of product offerings including a cloud-based integration solution as well as physical and virtual appliances.

As a key member of this team, you will collaborate with engineers, product management and operations teams to develop innovative features that span the suite of product offerings. You will have full life cycle responsibilities for key product functionality spanning architecture, design, development, and implementation. You will be expected to write robust, scalable, multi-threaded distributed, object oriented code.

Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Past experience writing mainstream middleware code is a must
- Familiarity with enterprise software and other integration technologies is a plus

Technical Skills:

- Extensive programming experience in Java
- Excellent server-side software development skills
- Demonstrated experience in authoring multi-threaded, high performance code
- Excellent understanding of data structures, algorithms, software engineering design patterns and principles
- Strong experience in working with databases, Web Services, Web Apps, HTTP, SOAP, Hibernate
- Extensive knowledge of the Unix/Linux environment
- Strong understanding of XML based technologies such as, XSD, XPath, XQuery, XSLT
- Experience with the Amazon AWS platform is a major plus
- Experience with Web technologies like Flex, Action Script, Java Script is plus

- Excellent written and verbal communications

Education

- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree.
