About the role:
You will join a team of algorithm scientists and software developers who are building custom image processing algorithms to produce vast quantities of remotely sensed imagery. Your responsibility will include building tools and systems to improve those image processing algorithms. You will have strong experience developing production-grade software in C/C++. A background in image and signal processing theory is helpful but not required. Familiarity with software development for parallel computing platforms is preferred.
Skills and Experience:
BS (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other similar degree
Excellent C/C++ and Python development in a Linux environment
1-2 years of experience in one of: software application development, back-end software for scalable web applications, or software QA. This experience may be in internships or part time work during your education if it was ?real enough.?
Experience developing in a multithreaded environment (GPU) is a plus
Experience with SQL (Postgres) or NoSQL (Hadoop stack) databases is a plus
