Software Engineer Phreesia
Position:
We are looking for a Software Engineer with the desire to learn about real problems affecting our customers and figure out smart, scalable ways to solve those problems and deliver incremental value in our suite of products. You?ll do this by getting into the trenches and interacting with all the different end users we serve ? patients, practice staff, physicians and partners.
We are a .NET shop and utilize the cool new stuff when it?s right for the job and do things the old fashioned way when that is the smart thing to do. Most of our work centers around our core collection of web apps and services but we also develop client applications for our PhreesiaPad and build systems for integrating into practice systems. We have a ?Joel Test? score of 11, sometimes 12.
We are passionate about building products that get used every day by patients to improve their health and that help physicians run their practices more efficiently. We design and build products that are used by millions of people including your parents, friends, neighbors and even grandparents!
About You:
You?ve been there and done that - 5 years or so of experience
You?ve worked on big things and you?ve worked in different parts of the application
You have solid skills in working in the .NET environment using C#
You have worked with databases: you can write and tune queries for large data sizes
You like talking to partners or customers and they don?t find you weird and scary
You know how to say ?good enough for now? - with code, features and design
You keep up to date on tools and techniques, but you don?t think the newest stuff is always the best stuff
You can work independently, whether that?s in an office or remotely
You like working in a small, intense group of brilliant people with a lot of character
You think Software Engineers in Test are your best friend
You have integrated with other software in a reliable, real-time way across a WAN
You can rapidly iterate on ideas in conjunction with the business
You have worked in a rapid release model (we try for every other week)
You do more than code your part: you understand how your code fits in the greater system
You help troubleshoot and debug your code in production
You have a college degree in Computer Science or Mathematics (BS or higher)
You live in NYC or Ottawa or you want to work from home in the United States
