PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:



Designs, develops, debugs, and maintains software processes at a basic level of complexity.



SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and designs programming code for various GiftCertificates.com software products.

Responsible for feature-level work. Developers will be responsible for their own ?product? and work with the system during all phases of the development lifecycle.

Works with program management staff to create and implement design features according to specifications and business requirements.

Works with quality assurance staff to fix any bugs that arise in code and has direct technical input into the creation of test cases.

Works with IT staff to make sure they have accurate configuration information needed to deploy software processes.

Creates development specifications and documents all processes and procedures.

Participates in design discussions.

Works with senior developers and development managers to implement pieces of larger architectural software systems.

Assists more senior engineers in gathering input and data from customers and co-workers.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



Bachelor?s degree in a engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.

3 plus years of experience developing software in three or more of the following languages:

o HTML

o Server-side scripting (ASP, JSP, CGI, etc.)

o Java

o Delphi

o C++

o C#

o Visual Basic .Net

o SQL

o Middle-tier technologies (.NET)

o Middleware products (Boomi, Biztalk, TIBCO)



Development experience on the MS-Windows platform

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Strong problem solving skills in consideration of processes and technical feasibility.
