Job Description
This position will work with a software engineering team to design, build and implement software solutions that meet highly complex business requirements and cater to specific industry needs using a variety of development technologies. Will design, develop, modify, implement and support software applications, work with other team members as well as internal clients to collaboratively find solutions for business needs and understand complex business requirements. Will perform analysis exercises to extract details from business users, perform code reviews with other team members to validate solutions, and provide constructive feedback to team members on software design and implementation.
Experience and Skills
Minimum five years software development experience
Thorough understanding in the areas of systems and architectural design, relational databases and application programming
Ability to accurately gauge and estimate effort required to complete development tasks
Ability to communicate ideas effectively- both technical and conceptual
Ability to apply technical, programmatic solutions to complex business requirements
Strong knowledge and experience with a variety of development technologies
Desired Technical Skill Sets:
Proficiency with Silverlight 4.0 and MVVM pattern
Experience with Expression Blend
Experience with Telerik Silverlight controls
Experience with RIA Services
Strong proficiency in web services using WCF
Experience with Entity Framework
Strong knowledge and experience with .NET development technologies
Strong proficiency with C#.NET including LINQ
Proficiency in Visual Studio and TFS development environment
Solid experience with Object Oriented principles
Strong knowledge and development experience in .NET platform
Experience with multithreaded applications or parallel programming
Experience in Unit Testing using NUnit or Visual Studio testing framework
Good understanding of relational databases and experience in SQL Server 2008
Preferred Candidates will have the following:
Experience with Rapid development methodologies; Agile/SCRUM
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
Experience with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
