Software Engineer, Pen Software LiveScribe

Livescribe is developing its next generation pen platform and we are looking for strong performer for our pen software team. You are a team player that is eager to learn and you are fresh out of college or have a few years of industry experience and have a strong theoretical background with some practical experience.

Responsibilities

- Acquire understanding of the pen system
- Implement software solutions with guidance from senior engineers.
- Work with software QA to find and fix bugs
- Read and write technical specifications
- Participate in technical design

Requirements

- MS/BA/BS in software engineering or equivalent
- Strong CS interest
- Proficient in C and/or Java
- Developed at least one larger software project

Nice to have

- Industry experience
- J2ME and/or other mobile APIs
- Agile methods
- Source control (SVN/GIT/CVS)
- Embedded system experience (RTOS/Android/ARM/Flash/I2C/SPI)
- Assembly and python knowledge
- Communication protocols (HTTP/OBEX/USB/Wireless/BT)
- Linux experience
