Kiva Systems, Inc. uses game-changing automation technology for distribution centers that helps companies simplify operations and reduce costs while increasing strategic flexibility. Using hundreds of autonomous mobile robots and sophisticated control software, the Kiva Mobile-robotic Fulfillment System enables extremely fast cycle times with reduced labor requirements, from receiving to picking to shipping.For our fast growing software engineering teams, Kiva is looking for multiple talented engineers at all levels who are mature, motivated, and enjoy working in a fast paced development organization.
As a Kiva software engineer, you will design and implement and platform for emulating large scale Kiva solutions. The platform will leverage Kiva's MHS solution and deploy over a scalable cloud infrastructure.
Candidates will have the following qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science, Math, or other algorithmic-centric discipline
7+ years of experience working in core Java, C++ or other Object Oriented languages
Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings
Strong communication skills and effective team player
Familiarity with fast growing companies and the associated deadlines and high-energy culture that goes along with launching new products
Experience and interest in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
Large scale enterprise platforms with ability to work in multiple areas of a system
Complex algorithms including schedulers, workflows, state machines
Linux scripting and administration
Database experience (MySQL)
Distributed computing (cloud computing with AWS a plus)
