We seek ambitious engineers to help in building and expanding our petabyte scale data management infrastructure.A candidate for this position will be interested in databases, big data, distributed systems, availability and reliability of large systems, fault-tolerance, efficiency and performance.

Moreover, we develop the whole cluster software stack, including a high-performance distributed file system (QFS), which means you won?t be constrained by arbitrary limitations of third party software.

Responsibilities:
Contribute to building a petascale data management software stack. Research, design and develop highly scalable technology for managing huge amounts of data (20PBs and growing).
Increase the productivity of data scientists. Make petabytes of data as easy to access, manipulate and analyze as a spreadsheet on your laptop.
Lead, don?t follow. Drive innovation and contribute to intellectual property in the area of distributed systems and parallel databases.
Requirements:
Passionate, self-driven
Development experience in database design and implementation
Experience with cluster data technology: mapreduce, Hive, Pig, NoSQL databases
Experience developing large scale databases is a plus: Greenplum, Teradata, Oracle
Excellent development skills in Java
MS or PhD. in related field
