Software Engineer Medallion Analytics
Medallion Analytics is seeking a friendly, intelligent and hardworking Software Developer who is looking to join a high speed start-up environment in Pittsburgh, PA.
Medallion is working on a next-generation Mortgage Industry technology platform to help speed adoption of eMortgage processing. This is an exciting opportunity to join or team at a early stage where you can have a large impact on the technology direction and implementation. Help us build out the architecture, develop systems from the ground up and fill in all the pieces to launch this new offering.

You'll be developing applications including Workflow / Rules Engines, Portal, Web Services and UIs in Java and other languages. This is an early stage company, so expect to work hard and help out wherever needed. No pigeon-holing here!
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Agile Application Development.
Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages?Java primarily.
Requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis.
Collaborate with Product Management to understand product requirements and ensure product architecture will meet those requirements.
Integrate software with 3rd party APIs and systems.
Software Testing (TDD) and Quality Assurance.
Performance Tuning, Web Security, Usability, Configuration Management.
Support, maintain and document software functionality

Several years of software development experience including at least two years of Java experience.
Experience developing/designing large software systems.
Significant experience with database development.
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Great to Have:
Java Technologies such as Spring and Hibernate.
Experience creating Web Services. Ideally, experience building SOAP services in Java.
Experience with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, etc).
Perl Development Experience.
System Administration Experience, Linux and/or Windows.
Strong Configuration and Build Management Skills.
Experience dealing with large data sets.
Demonstrated success with high volume, high availability Web applications / services.
