Software Engineer, Platform Jawbone

As a Software Engineer on Jawbone?s Software Platform team, you will design, develop, and maintain platform-level services used by Jawbone?s software applications. You will work closely with web application and mobile client developers to build services and APIs that are fast, scalable, and easy to use.We are striving to build a highly scalable, versatile platform that will allow Jawbone to deliver groundbreaking mobile experiences for a host of products via a wide variety of devices. Our services and APIs provide the means for delivering those experiences. Responsibilities:
Working closely with mobile client and web application developers and product managers to define and implement APIs for Jawbone products and for external partners.
Architecting and developing backend services to support application features, with a focus on performance and scalability.
Required Skills:
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong programming knowledge, experience with Python a plus
Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
Preferred Skills:
Experience with web or mobile application technologies: HTML/Javascript/CSS, iOS, Android
Experience with high volume, high availability applications and systems
Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB
