Using hundreds of autonomous mobile robots and sophisticated control software, the Kiva Mobile-robotic Fulfillment System enables extremely fast cycle times with reduced labor requirements, from receiving to picking to shipping.
Kiva is looking formultiplesoftware engineersat all levelswho are talented, mature, motivated, and enjoy working in a fast paced development organization. As a member of thePlatformteam you will contribute to the entire back end of our next generation applications utilizing frameworks like JBoss, Hibernate, and Spring.
As a Kiva software engineer, you will design, implement and test key components of Kiva's warehouse automation system software and applications, collaborating cross-functionally to define clear requirements, deliverables, and test cases.
Desired Skills & Experience
Candidates will have the following qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science
4+ years of experience developing object oriented software with Java and/or C++
Experience designing and implementing highly available soft real-time systems
Strong background in developing complex enterprise class software running on server platforms a plus
Solid understanding of one or more of the following technologies:
Spring, JBoss, Hibernate, JMS, JDBC, JUnit, REST, Swing, XML-
Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings
Strong communication skills and effective team player
Familiarity with fast growing companies and the associated deadlines and high-energy culture that goes along with launching new products
