Software Engineer
An amazing opportunity for an experienced engineer with the right combination of innovation and no-hack mentality. If you are STRONG in multiple languages (PHP, Java, .Net/C#, Node.js), are willing and eager to learn new things, understand what it takes to build rapid, scalable cloud applications and like to show up to work every day with a smile on your face and ideas in your head ... we want to talk to you.
Responsibilities
Standard Duties: Design, develop, unit test, document and maintain cool and innovative software in Java, PHP, or whatever language is appropriate to the task.
Exciting Duties: Brainstorm, champion, prototype and drive amazing features and functionality that will define how everyone interacts with media (TV, Movie, Advertisements, Commerce).
Key Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities
Experience building high volume cloud applications and services (AWS and S3 a plus)
Experience with configuring, deploying or developing on LAMP Servers in a cloud environment is a strong plus.
Significant experience with multiple languages (eg. PHP, Java, NET/C#, Node.js)
Understanding of caching, state management and multi-threading concepts as they apply to cloud and other distributed services.
Understanding of advanced software development practices such as; in-line documentation, unit testing, auditing, logging and defensive coding.
Ability to take ownership while working as part of a team.
A love of technology for the sheer coolness of it with the experience to turn that passion into production software.
