OVERVIEWnCircle, the leader in agentless security risk and compliance management, has an immediate opening in Alpharetta, GA for a Senior Software Engineer that has a strong focus in security. Our development team is committed to delivering new features and maintaining a security and compliance software product within an Agile environment. This product is currently evolving from a predominantly C# code base to a platform independent technology stack consisting of Python/Django, PostgreSQL with an HTML5 front end.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Designing and implementing new functionality in the product based upon requirements delivered to the engineering team by product management
Assume responsibility for the quality and timeliness of assigned software development efforts.
Diagnosing and resolving product bugs identified by customer support and QA
Working directly with customers on complex escalated support issues
Active participation as a member of a world class software team working in an Agile Software Development environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years? experience developing commercial software products
Complete mastery of C, C++, C#, or Java
Strong understanding of TCP/IP required
Experience with Python/Django a strong plus
Experience with HTML5 would be ideal but not required
Experience with .NET a plus
Experience building database-driven applications
Strong Experience with MS SQL Server and/or Postgres a strong plus
Experience with test-driven development and unit testing a plus
Experience with Agile Software Development a strong plus
Experience with security tools a plus
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, fast-growth environment where action and initiative are prerequisites to performing well
