About the Position:

SecondMarket is seeking recent college graduates for opportunities in our technology area to work as Software Engineers. As a Software Engineer at SecondMarket, you will design, build and maintain SecondMarket's platform for trading alternative assets. Software Engineers work as part of a Scrum Team with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, UX Designer and other engineers to develop, test and deploy code on a weekly basis.

Desired Skills for the Position:

Knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring MVC, JMS etc. is nice, but having strong CS fundamentals such as deep understanding of object orientation and algorithms is the bomb
Excited to work with the latest technologies including mongoDB, Scala, Solr etc.
Passionate about writing well structured and easy to maintain code
Want to work in an environment using continuous integration and continuous deployment
Love solving complex problems
Must be self-motivated and a go getter
Possess great communication skills
Desire to work in a software product organization
CS background preferred but not mandatory
